Our New Project: Internal Promotion and Career Planning with Talent Management
We evaluate sustainability in 3 different classes as human, environment and material, and we adopt and implement the continuous development model at Akar Textile with our “Sustainable Textile” principle.
In this context, as Akar Textile, we have a vision to implement systems and practices that make a difference in human resources management, as well as in ready-made clothing, that are employee-customer-oriented and that will add value to the brand target.
One-on-one meetings with our blue-collar employees last month were one of the examples that embodied this vision. Our blue-collar and associate degree graduates, who shared their career goals with Hayrettin Akar, our Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Ahu Babaoğlu, our General Manager, were given the opportunity to evaluate their career processes within the scope of talent management.
While working in the production units in our İzmir factory, we got together with 25 university graduates who have continued their undergraduate education at the same time, listened to their future goals and talked about how we can contribute to reaching their goals.
2 of our colleagues will be working under the same roof but in different positions this month; Tuğba (third from left), who has been working as a Stain Removal Personnel in the Quality Department for 7 years, is now our new sample technician and Akgül (second from left), who has been working as a Sewing Footman for 1 year, is the sample planner.
We thank them both for their work so far and wish them success in their new duties.
