We are amongst “The Stars of Exports”
At the “Stars of Exports Award Ceremony” held annually by the Aegean Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters Association (EHKİB), 69 companies that contributed $2 million or more to an export figure of $1 billion 306 million were awarded. As Akar Textile, among the top 10 companies that won awards in the platinum and gold categories; we were placed in the gold category with 4th place and were entitled to receive an award.

Akar Textile’s General Coordinator Nihal Fidan, who received the award on behalf of our firm from Burak Sertbaş (Chairman of the Board for EHKİB), said, “This award belongs to all Akar Textile employees. We continued our production carefully and devotedly under the harsh pandemic conditions. However, in a period of increasing shrinkage, we created brand new investments and strengthened our existing ventures. With the principle of “Sustainable Textile”, we have invested not only in technology and infrasturcture, but also in human resources and we will continue to do so.”
Nihal Fidan continued her words as follows: “Akar Textile, which started production in İzmir in 2004, is today a manufacturer that gives life to sustainable global brands and realizes export-oriented production with its creative design power, dynamic production structure of 3 thousand people and an innovative R&D center. We increased our production network and export capacity by launching our factory in Manisa Kula in 2018 and our factory in Mardin Savur in 2020. We are proud to represent our city Aegean and our country in exports with our increasing production networks and qualified human resources.”
